Your body has been trying to tell you something.

This is how you actually listen.

SPINAL Energetics

EmbodIMent

It was never a knowledge problem.

It's a capacity problem.

You've been through it all, the self-help, maybe even therapy and life keeps on coming. You know what you should do. And yet, something in your body keeps bringing you back to the same point, their is a ceiling you can't crack. The same pattern, keeps repeating and no amount of learning more will fix it.

Spinal Energetics works with your spine, your nervous system, and the energetic field around both, creating the conditions for your body to do what it already knows how to do... come back into coherence.

Somatic regulation

What is Spinal Energetics?

Your spine isn't just structure. It's the primary communication line between your brain and the rest of your body. Every stress response, every survival adaptation, every pattern you've been carrying without knowing you were carrying it, moves through this exact pathway.

Spinal Energetics is a somatic modality that works with the spine and nervous system directly, using light or non-contact touch through resonance to invite your body's own intelligence to reorganise. It's not a "fix" being done to you. It's a conversation with your system that already knows how to rewrite the patterns, because it created them in the first place. It knows the way back, it's just been too busy protecting you to get there on its own.

I don't direct your body in a session. I meet it. I create the conditions — safety, presence, the right quality of attention and your nervous system does what it's actually built to do: release what it's been holding, and reorganise toward more ease.

What actually happens during a session?

Every session looks different, because every nervous system is different and that's not a vague disclaimer, it's just true.

Some people move. The body finds its own release, spontaneously, without the conscious mind planning or directing it. Some people drop into total meditative stillness. Some people feel emotions surface that's been sitting below the surface for years, with no story attached to it, just the feeling, that finally feels safe enough to move. Some people simply breathe, really breathe, maybe for the first time in a long time, without the shoulders climbing toward the ears and the jaw staying clenched underneath it all.

What's consistent isn't the form. It's the direction: toward more coherence, more ease, more access to what your nervous system is actually capable of once it's no longer spending all its resources protecting you from things that aren't currently happening.

You will find a space where you won't be disturbed, and get comfortable, lying flat on a yoga mat or your bed both work beautifully. We want you present for this, not drifting off. Though if you do fall asleep, that's your body telling you exactly what it needed that day, and all is welcome here. Music guides the body through the session, so headphones or a bluetooth speaker help you immerse fully. If you feel called to enhance your space through a candle, incense, crystals, whatever you're intuitively drawn to bring in, just do what feels aligned for you.

A Science-informed perspective

How distance sessions work

People often ask if this can really happen by distance... It definitely can! And it's worth understanding why, because it's biology.

Your nervous system doesn't only respond to physical contact, it responds to cues: tone of voice, pacing, presence, attention, expectation, permission. This is well documented in neuroscience and somatic psychology. Your body is constantly reading its environment for signals of safety or threat and shifting its state accordingly. Whether that environment is in the same room as you, or on the other side of the world.

This is the same mechanism behind co-regulation, one nervous system helping another find safety. It works whether we're sitting across from each other or connecting by video, because your body doesn't require proximity to reorganise. It requires safety, attention, and the right quality of presence.

In an online session, I'm not transmitting energy across space. I'm guiding your attention and awareness in a way that lets your nervous system and subconscious mind shift state, creating the safety for old patterns to reorganise into something more coherent, more regulated, more you.

What actually shifts state:

  • Cues of safety: Neuroception, the nervous system automatically scanning body language, voice, and facial expression for signs of safety or threat.

  • Focused attention: Interoception, conscious awareness of what's happening inside the body. Attention itself shifts physiological state, independent of touch, and this is well established in somatic and mindfulness research.

  • Relational presence: Co-regulation, one regulated, attuned nervous system helping another find calm, through tone, pacing, and attunement rather than physical proximity.

  • Expectation and permission: When you believe a shift is possible, and feel permitted to let your body respond rather than override it, that belief itself changes the physiological outcome, an effect well documented in psychology as expectancy effects.

I believe we live in a quantum world. The body is energy, not just structure, and that connection isn't bound by space and time the way we've been taught. Physicists have shown that entangled particles stay correlated no matter the distance between them; I believe something this is true for us. It is what I have experienced, in session after session, whether we're in the same room, or five thousand kilometres apart.

You never have to pick a side,

SCIENCE & SOUL

The science: Your nervous system isn't fixed. It's plastic, adaptive, and capable of real reorganisation throughout your life. Neuroscience calls this neuroplasticity. What blocks it isn't complicated in principle: chronic stress and old patterns get the system stuck in a survival response that was useful once and isn't useful anymore. Given safety, presence, and the right input, the system can genuinely shift.

The wisdom: Long before neuroscience had language for any of this, contemplative traditions across cultures were already locating the spine at the centre of how awareness moves through the body. In the yogic tradition, kundalini describes an energy at the base of the spine that rises through the chakras, the body's seven energy centres as consciousness expands. In Taoist practice, the Governing Vessel is considered the primary channel running from the base of the spine to the crown, central to meditative practices that circulate energy along that same axis. Different names. Different centuries. Different continents. The same recognition: the spine was never just structure. It's the axis awareness moves through.

I hold both, because both are true. You don't have to believe in energy to feel the shift. You don't have to explain it clinically for it to be real. Your body already knows how to come back into coherence, this work is dissolving what's in the way, and creating the conditions for that intelligence to navigate back to health.

What people experience.

Spinal energetics with Lisa had a powerful calming effect on me. I highly recommend her healing services to anyone who needs a gentle reset to feel connected to their body again. As someone who cares for others professionally and personally, it was lovely to have found a healing experience that has helped me gently recenter my mind, body and energy. I was struggling to heal by myself, having just experienced several losses in a row, and was finding it hard to shift the grief that came with the loss of connection to others and myself. Lisa's safe space, conversation and practice helped calm my body down to help it heal and realign itself. Our bodies are smart enough to do this on their own, but sometimes it's nice to have a kind hand to help it along the journey.

1st session:
I had immediate effects after my first session,it released all the tension I was holding in my neck, upper and lower back, and my brain fog also vanished. I believed it would work, but I didn't think it would have such a profound effect on my body the first time. I felt lighter, centred and aligned through body and mind for the first time in months. It felt like a breath of fresh air had filled my body, I was no longer drowning in the dark.

2nd session:
My second session with Lisa was one week later. My brain fog was still long gone, my body feeling lighter but still tight. Lisa created a warm, safe space to practice in again. The second session was very different to the first, I could feel a physical unravelling alongside spinal activation. I felt like I wanted to stretch out my body the whole time, and I hummed throughout the session to help with the opening and unravelling my body was calling for. I noticed my spine felt warm and I could feel the energy moving up and down it, similar to how you feel it in yoga practice. I knew this was a good sign, as I hadn't felt this energy and opening of tight muscles in my back in a long time.

3rd session:
My third session with Lisa was four weeks later. I had been exercising a lot and was stressed by things I could not control. This session brought me back to my body and made me feel grounded almost immediately. This time I mostly took deep breaths during the session, wiggling and stretching my body throughout, surrendering to the process while gently repeating my mantra, let all my worries melt back into the earth. I finished the session feeling very calm and relaxed. My body had released the tension and worry in my upper back, Lisa once again worked her magic.

The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existence. One cannot help but be in awe when he contemplates the mysteries of eternity, of life, of the marvelous structure of reality. It is enough if one tries merely to comprehend a little of this mystery each day.
